Since Twitter has #FF (Follow Friday), where you give a shout-out to Twitter profiles that you want your followers to check out, I’d thought I’d do something similar today.
I would like to share a few of my favorite blogs with you. Some of them I go to for a recipe or a craft idea, some just make me laugh.
Check them out and let me know what you think!
Crafty Garden Mama: Becky writes about organic gardening, green parenting, and living an eco-friendly lifestyle. I turn to her for tips on gardening or ideas to try on “TV Free Fridays.” But my favorite post of Becky’s was this one, which showed how she used one rotisserie chicken to make different meals all week long!
Finnegan and The Hughes: Profiles of individuals committed to worthy causes, product reviews, and stories about her adorable children are just some of what Sarah blogs about at Finnegan and The Hughes. If you head on over there today, she is running a giveaway for an Udderly Smooth prize pack!
Giggles, Gobbles, and Gulps: This blog features tons of food and drink recipes, as well as a special feature called “Malt Mondays.” Each Monday, Linda reviews a different beer…will it get the GGG stamp of approval? I’m dying to try her recipe for Easy Watermelon Agua Fresca!
La Dolce Pita: Lauren is a trained private chef who also finds time to share her knowledge of healthy cuisine in her blog. She specializes in vegan and vegetarian recipes, but also throws in some travel and entertaining posts, as well. These Chili Stuffed Potato Skins are next on my list to make for a party.
Making Lemonade: I have a bit of a blog crush on Making Lemonade…it’s just so bright, happy, and pretty! Here you can find DIY crafts, recipes, and gorgeous design ideas. In this post, Carrie shows how to create a stunning “Outdoor Mommy Oasis.”
The Vintage Mom: Lauryn blogs about adventures with her husband and three children, plus how she tries to maintain old-fashioned values in a modern world. Lauryn shares great recipes that center around the fruits and veggies she gets in her CSA share each week. Here is an inventive recipe for Fried Avocado with Garlicky Cilantro Sauce.
Yoke: Trish’s sarcastic posts on everything from her son’s circumcision to “Things you Shouldn’t Say to a Stay-at-Home Mom” make me laugh. She also writes about life with her three kids, one of whom is a brain tumor survivor.
