Justin Timberlake, The Jonas Brothers, & Melissa Gorga…one of these things is not like the other! Photo courtesy of NBCUniversal.
Melissa puts her vocal talents on display, on display, on display again and Penny makes another fateful appearance. Keep reading for your RHONJ recap!
Teresa, Joe, and their moms go to see the new Skinny Italian showroom, where
buyers rabid fans will come to see her new food line. Teresa tells her mom that things are going well with her and her brother.
Joe Gorga stops by the Laurita home. Joe and Chris have some afternoon wine and discuss the upcoming blk event where Jacqueline will be giving her first ever public speech. Yikes!
Jacqueline is worried about getting more involved as an autism advocate, because haters keep telling her that she’s exploiting her son by having him on the show.
(My opinion on that: this show has always filmed Jacqueline with her husband and her kids. Nicholas having autism is now such a huge part of her life, so how could she keep that out of the show? All she’s doing is bringing attention to spectrum disorders.)
Over on Cannoli Island, Kathy is getting a fabulous opportunity- doing a demonstration at the famed Dylan’s Candy Bar in NYC. (Dylan is Ralph Lauren’s daughter. DUH, Rich!)
Melissa and Joe Gorga meet Teresa, Joe Guidice, and the Gorga mom for lunch. Teresa and Joe’s dad has kidney stones so he couldn’t make it.
Ever the appropriate dresser, Melissa attends the lunch in an off-the-shoulder number that looks more suited for a club visit.
Everyone is getting along at the lunch and Mama Gorga is happy.
Teresa and her girls go over to Jacqueline’s house to help write Jac’s speech. “The fact that Jacqueline is going to Teresa for advice about public speaking…I’m a little surprised,” says Chris, erupting into giggles.
While Teresa is not home, Juicy has a secret date with…
his girlfriend his attorney Rosie! LOL. The two eat steaks, drink wine, and talk about guy stuff.
Melissa has been invited to meet Johnny Wright, who is the supposed manager of Justin Timberlake and the Jo Bros. So then what is he doing with Melissa Gorga?
Johnny wants to know if Melissa can commit to the music industry and put it above her family. She says no, but Joe says yes. I guess that’s Love, Italian Style.
A clearly sick Kathy is trying to get herself and her mom ready for the Dylan’s Candy Bar demo. Kathy croaks out orders as all her family members manage to screw everything up, dropping business cards, not having outfits planned, etc. Doh!
The next day, Johnny Wright and co. come over to Melissa’s “recording studio” to hear her “sing a song.” Johnny is surprised Melissa doesn’t have the lyrics memorized yet.
“Do you have to put the words on the stage when you sing live, too?” asks Johnny.
Melissa claims she is rusty, there is static, and the earphones are shaking. Johnny is NOT happy with what he sees. He says Melissa needs to come to Orlando to prove her singing chops.
At Dylan’s Candy Bar, no one shows up to Kathy’s event.
Caroline appears to have a legit excuse- another migraine- but what about everyone else? (Also, I think Caroline should see a doctor for these migraines. They are SO getting in the way of filming.)
Jacqueline shows up, as do Melissa and finally Teresa, who is clearly jealous of Kathy’s cannoli success.
The blk Knock Out Autism event is here and Jacqueline is uber-nervous about her speech. She makes it through and there’s not a dry eye in the house (including mine).
Melissa and Joe are out to dinner and (shocker!) Penny is at the restaurant. What are the chances?!
I can’t believe I used to think this show didn’t have set-ups like this. Can Bravo producers BE any more obvious?
Melissa approaches Penny and asks her who is behind the cheating rumors. In a clearly edited segment, Penny tells Melissa and Joe that it was Teresa. Then there is some nonsense about Penny’s husband tweeting stuff, but honestly I lost interest. Get this fame-whore with cheap extensions off the show.
Next week: Melissa tries to sing (again) and Penny is confronted (again). Yawn.
