As Long As We Have Wine

Well, this is it…the final countdown!

If you are hosting Thanksgiving, like me, today is your day to run around getting ready like a chicken with its head cut off. Or rather, a turkey.

I actually did my errands yesterday, so today is for cleaning the house, baking desserts, and prepping the other menu items. And finishing some blog posts, going for a run, tending to the children, and drinking heavily once my family arrives.

I got some really cute holiday decorations at Kohl’s yesterday, including the “As Long As We Have Wine” decorative wall hanging pictured above. How cute is that? (Take 15% off your Kohl’s order today!)

I also got a gorgeous wreath for the front door. I know it’s not even Thanksgiving, but since my family probably won’t be back down to Virginia in December, I wanted to have some of our Christmas-y decor up.

I am getting slightly nervous about tomorrow. Usually I get drunk and have my mom and mother-in-law make sure everything is going according to plan, but this year, I want to do it all myself.

Here is my menu for tomorrow’s dinner:

Thanksgiving Dinner Menu 2015

If you’re looking for a tutorial on how to make a fancy dinner menu like that, here it is. It’s so simple.

I am concerned that I won’t get the timing right for everything, but I devised a simple spreadsheet to help me keep track of what is supposed to happen when

I don’t know about you, but I have various tasks to do at designated times…chop veggies and get the pie in the oven at 10:00 A.M. and then assemble the dip and make the stuffing at 12:00 P.M. This should keep me organized. I hope.

Who knows if it will work, but I will let you know! If you want to grab your own, just click the download link and print it out.

I hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving with their loved ones this year.

And if you are a Black Friday shopper, may the force be with you!
