Yesterday marked my 30th day of drinking a gallon of water a day. Damn, that went by fast!

I’m planning to continue drinking a gallon each day, but I won’t make myself crazy over it…so if it’s 9:00 PM and I still have 24 oz. to go, I probably wouldn’t force it down. Because then I’d be up at 11:00 PM to pee.

But the plan is to keep doing this, because my doctor said pregnant women actually do need a gallon of water each day. And guess what? If you’re breastfeeding, you need even more! Read More »

A little over two weeks ago, I started an experiment to drink a gallon of water a day for 30 days.

So now it has been TWO full weeks of drinking a gallon of water a day.

Constantly drinking water has become part of my natural routine now. I always have my 24 oz. Tervis Tumbler with me during the day. (Exception: I don’t take it out on errands, because I don’t want to have to pee in a public restroom if I don’t have to.)

Filling it up is the first thing I do in the morning (after peeing). I try to get the first 24 oz. down before I “allow” myself to have a coffee or tea. Read More »

It’s December 9th and I’m looking out the window at pouring rain. Can’t we get some snow? Pretty please?

Inside my house is also an exciting scene: half-decorated tree, pumpkins (don’t ask), and a three-year-old in a smock and my shoes.

Speaking of torrential amounts of liquid, yesterday I started a challenge to drink a gallon of water each day for 30 days (which I am referring to as “Operation Chug-A-Lug”).

Day 1 went swimmingly (hehe). Seriously, though, it was not hard at all.

Frequent trips to the bathroom? Of course. But that was really the only bad part.  Read More »

Operation Chug-A-Lug (Drinking a Gallon of Water a Day)

This post may contain affiliate links. Read full disclosure policy here. I am not a doctor, nor am I qualified to give medical advice. I do believe that drinking more water can be beneficial for mostly everyone, but if you’re concerned about specific amounts for your body, consult with a doctor first.

I happened to read an article yesterday about a woman who got fabulous results by drinking a gallon of water a day for thirty days

This woman experienced dramatically beneficial results– to her headaches, to her dark circles, to her skin in general, and to her digestive system.

I shared the article link on my Facebook page and said that I was thinking about doing the 30 day drinking a gallon of water a day challenge… Read More »
