This post contains a spoiler about what my mom will be getting for Mother’s Day. Mom, you have been warned!
During a six week span from the end of April to early June, I have six birthdays in my family. Not to mention Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, graduations, baby/bridal showers, and a wedding. You could say I have a lot of gifts to buy.
When I need an especially creative, heartfelt gift, I turn to Shutterfly. I have always used Shutterfly to store and print my photos, but only started buying photo gifts there after I became a parent. It was a no-brainer.
We had a new baby. Family loves to see pictures of the new baby. Make family presents with baby’s picture on them. So simple!
Two Christmases ago, we made a unique photo mug for each of the relatives. Huge hit! Last year, we did photo calendars, featuring 12 months of our darling little L! (My mom loves this calendar so much, she refuses to hang it on the wall. Instead, she keeps it on the coffee table so she can flip through it on a daily basis.)
When Shutterfly offered me the chance to try out one of their new photo pillows, I jumped at the opportunity! While I desperately wanted to make one for my own couch enjoyment, I decided to make one for (SPOILER ALERT!) my mom for Mother’s Day. (There’s one gift crossed off my never-ending list!)
I chose the Gallery Monogram Pillow, which has room for six pictures and a monogram in the center. The pillow comes in two sizes: 16×16 for $34.99 or 18×18 for $39.99. You can personalize the color of the monogram block, and you can also choose to have the back of the pillow be either black or ivory.
Choosing which pictures to put on your photo gift is always the hardest part! But I managed to get everyone from my immediate family included, and the result came out beautiful:
You can’t see all the photos perfectly from the camera angle I used, but trust me, it looks amazing and I know my mom will love it!
If you have never designed a photo gift on Shutterfly, do NOT be intimidated! The website makes it incredibly easy to make your masterpiece. All you have to do is upload your pictures, then add them onto the project.
If you are searching for the perfect Mother’s Day gift, there is still time to order from Shutterfly and have your item delivered by May 11 (depending on what item you order and which shipping method you choose)!
