The Play-Doh Disney Princess Design-a-Dress Boutique Set lets your child combine the fun of Play-Doh with her love of Disney princesses. She uses a mold to design dresses for the two princesses and then decorates them with accessories.

Hasbro sent me this toy to review, and four-year-old Megan provided her opinions on it. (The manufacturer says it is for ages 3 and up.)

Megan loved the Design-a-Dress Boutique from first sight.

She said that she liked everything about it, however her “most favorite thing is that the display can look like a stage or a closet.”

Megan recently started caring about fashion and what clothes she wears, so this toy was right up her alley.

After Megan’s mom set up the toy, Megan played with it independently for about an hour.

She was able to make most of the cut-outs herself, but the big skirt that went around the doll was more intricate than she could handle.

Said Mom, “If she wanted to make the more detailed designs, then I had to help her. Mostly she just did her own thing and had fun without using the designs.”

There is a new type of Play-Doh that comes with this set- “Play-Doh Plus.” It is softer and easier to mold, however, our tester’s mom said that it sticks to the table and floor and is difficult to get off.

Based on her experience, Megan’s mom feels that this is an entertaining toy for a four-year-old, but an older child will also enjoy it and get more out of the design aspect.

The Play-Doh Disney Princess Design-a-Dress Boutique Set is available on Amazon for $19.97, making it a great inexpensive gift option.

Disclosure: Hasbro sent me this toy for the purposes of the review, however all opinions are unbiased. This post contains affiliate links that help support The Naughty Mommy.
