I loved to color as a child. I remember the joy of having a good box of 64 Crayola crayons and a new coloring book.

Barbie coloring books were my favorite. I loved deciding what color Barbie’s shoes, dress, and hair were going to be for whatever event she had going on that day.

I haven’t colored in many years, even though my daughter colors almost every day.

When I was contacted about trying Let’s Color Together: A Shareable Coloring Book for Parents and Kids, I said yes without hesitation.

This was going to be so much fun!

And it was!

Designed by artist Margaret Peot, Let’s Color Together features sets of two coloring pages that have one intricate design for grown-ups and one less intricate version for kids…the perfect solution for tandem coloring!

We kept the pages in the book and colored side by side, but you can also rip them out on the perforations.

Here are our finished creations:

(I wrote my name on mine in case you couldn’t tell whose was whose.)

My daughter was tickled pink that we were coloring basically the same picture and that we were doing it together. She tried her hardest to make hers look exactly like mine.

I think she did a pretty good job!

This was definitely a fun mother-child bonding experience that we will return to again.
