Being a new mom can be difficult. I have a five-month-old (and a 2.5 year old) and I’m just starting to see the light at the end of the newborn baby tunnel.
Here are some suggestions of helpful or fun gifts that will bring cheer to the new mommy in your life!
Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep Machine: This machine prepares a fresh bottle of formula at the correct temperature in less than two minutes…it’s like a Keurig for babies! Perfect for middle-of-the-night feedings!
I am getting one to try out next week and I am so excited. (Update: Here is a link to my full review of the Perfect Prep.)
Here is a short video I made showing how the Perfect Prep is used:
In short, this is a total luxury item for a new mom. I loved mine and will definitely be using it again with my next baby!
Vino2Go Party Pink Insulated Acrylic Wine Tumbler: It’s a sippy cup. For your wine. Need I say more? No more worrying that your kids will knock your wine glass over with their roughhousing. It’s safely kept in this tumbler. I have this. And I love it.
Erin Condren Life Planner: How gorgeous is that? I love me a good planner. Once you’re a mom, you have lots more to keep track of. Putting everything in my iPhone is not for me- paper’s where it’s at. There are so many beautiful designs that you can customize with your name and photos for the ultimate life planner. There are also calendars, stationery, baby announcements, and more all available at the Erin Condren website. (For a gift like this, it’s probably best to give a gift card so that the recipient can design her own planner.)
Storksak Olivia Diaper Bag: Hands down, the best diaper bag ever. I don’t know what I’d do without this. Anyone else I know who owns one LOVES it, too. This bag is gorgeous AND a total workhorse, with tons of hidden pockets, an insulated bottle holder, a changing pad, and many more awesome functions. Get my full review here.
Carry On, Warrior: Thoughts on Life Unarmed: This is an honest, funny, and uplifting memoir by the author of the Momastery blog. I absolutely loved this book. It made me feel like I wasn’t the only one struggling with being a mom. Apparently everyone loves this book- it has an average rating of 4.8 out of 5 of its 500+ reviews on Amazon. Read my complete book review here.
“I Heart The Naughty Mommy” Coffee Mug: Give her a cup for enjoying her favorite coffee or tea AND help support The Naughty Mommy! What a fabulous gift!
Amazon Prime Membership: I don’t know that I would have survived the early weeks of motherhood without Amazon Prime. This $79 one-year membership grants you free two-day shipping on millions of items. Running out of diapers but don’t have time to go to the store? One click and a big box of Pampers will be on your doorstep in two days.
Tommee Tippee 360 Sealer Diaper Disposal System: This diaper disposal system seals each diaper individually so there’s no funky smell wafting out of baby’s room. This will make mom happy.
A Nap: This is the best present a new mom can get. I don’t care how you have to do it- whether it’s sending her to a hotel for the afternoon or taking the kids out for a few hours. Do what my mom did to me recently and FORCE HER TO TAKE A NAP.
Please feel free to email me (Lindsay@TheNaughtyMommy.com) if you have any specific questions/concerns about any of these items. I will do my best to help!
