I’m always tired. A cup of coffee does the trick in the morning, but that rush of caffeine only lasts so long. When afternoon comes, I find myself wanting an energy boost.
But anytime I decide to have that second cup of coffee, I regret it. I get all jittery and anxious.
So what’s a tired mom to do? (And don’t say, “Take a nap.” I HATE when people tell me that. There’s too much stuff to do to take a nap! Always!)
Well thanks to Jessie Spano and Saved By The Bell, we know that caffeine pills are a no-no.
I despise Red Bull, because I used to drink Red Bull and vodka in my twenties…so I always associate that drink with hangovers and regrets. (Sigh. To be young again!) Also, Red Bull tastes like crap.
I discovered EBOOST about two months ago, when I was tweeting with the newest Real Housewife of New York Kristen Taekman. (Because everything in my life ultimately leads back to Bravo.)
Kristen mentions EBOOST in her tweets a lot, because her husband Josh is one of the co-founders of the company.
EBOOST is a natural energy booster made from green tea and coffee bean extracts, plus added vitamins, minerals, and super-nutrients. It was formulated by doctors, nutritionists, and trainers.
EBOOST is used worldwide by serious athletes, performers, AND some of my favorite celebs! Kelly Ripa, Jillian Michaels, and even Oprah have endorsed EBOOST’s energy-boosting effects! (Shakira endorses it, too, but no one cares about Shakira.)
I am a huge fan of Jillian Michaels’ workouts like the 30 Day Shred, so I trust her judgment when it comes to healthy ways to boost one’s energy.
EBOOST comes in powdered form that you add to water OR as a an energy shot in a little bottle.
I kept a diary for the first week of taking EBOOST so you can see the effects I observed:
Day 1: Pink Lemonade packet w/ water. Tastes like Emergen-C. Drank at 2:00 P.M. I didn’t feel any immediate surge of energy, but I was surprisingly productive for hours after drinking it. My husband ended up coming home at 6:00 that night (instead of 5:30), and I had everything and everyone under control.
Day 2: Acai/Pomegranate packet w/ water & ice. (And straw.) 2:00 P.M. Feel very peppy and mentally alert. Want to do tons of different blog tasks all of a sudden.
Day 3: Orange packet in a disgusting smoothie. Must start following actual recipes for smoothies rather than making up my own. Couldn’t choke down the smoothie, so didn’t notice any EBOOST effects.
Day 4: Pink Lemonade packet in water. 2:00 P.M. EXHAUSTED after day at the Adventure Aquarium. Pepped me up.
Day 5: Tried a Berry-Melon Energy Shot. I like the fact that you can just quickly chug this shot and get on with your business.
Day 6: Superberry Energy Shot. Don’t like the flavor as much as the Berry-Melon one. Drank it at 10:00 A.M. when I was considering a nap. Gave me the energy to keep going and get things accomplished. Like search for the latest celebrity gossip online. Or desperately try to figure out what lip gloss Lisa Vanderpump uses. (The important things.)
My conclusions: EBOOST is a healthy way to get a quick shot of energy when you’re dragging. It doesn’t leave you feeling jittery or over-caffeinated, although that will depend on your own tolerance for caffeine. The only flavor of powder I really really liked is Pink Lemonade. I’m not a fan of the Orange or the Acai/Pomegranate. Again, this is something that will depend on your own personal preference.
EBOOST is available on Amazon, in certain stores, and on the EBOOST website. Click here to visit the EBOOST website and get 50% off your entire purchase! (Discount “NAUGHTY50” will be applied automatically when you check out.)
