Dutch Baby Recipe

It seems like Easter has crept up on me this year…not great since I’m hosting about twenty people for dinner!

If you’re like me and still scrambling to get your menu and Easter activities together, this post will be a huge help.

My friends Colleen of Souffle Bombay and Heather of Real: The Kitchen and Beyond have gathered 26 bloggers to share some of their favorite Easter entertaining ideas with you! From Jelly Bean Trees to a Giant Deviled Egg, we’ve got you covered!

I will be sharing my mother-in-law’s recipe for a Dutch Baby, a deliciously simple breakfast/brunch recipe that will definitely become a holiday morning tradition in your home!

To make this even more memorable, we have two fabulous giveaways with prizes from John Boosmaker (crafter of incredible cutting boards, butcher blocks and more), The Spice House (THE online source for incredible spices), Wilton Armetale (maker of both beautiful & functional servingware), Divine Chocolates (a fair trade, farmer-owned chocolate company) & The Tree Hut (natural body products that do what they say) for a few lucky readers! (GIVEAWAY HAS NOW ENDED)

Follow along via #AllThingsEaster on social media this week and visit our Pinterest Board “All Things Easter” for  even more ideas.

But back to the Dutch Baby…

This recipe was given to me by my mother-in-law after my husband repeatedly asked me to bake him a Dutch Baby and I had no idea what he was talking about. It’s also known as a German pancake, and can be topped with whatever your little heart desires.

Mine desires syrup and whipped cream. ALWAYS whipped cream.

It is simple, yet delicious. Have an egg-cellent day!

  1. I love pancakes so why haven’t I made a Dutch baby in eons? Thanks for the inspiration and have fun entertaining your 20 guests (I feel your pain – we do Christmas at my house and my husband is one of 11!)

  2. I’ve made one with apples (sliced and sautéed) but it was called a German Pancake… they are really delicious!
