My thoughts on how Big Brother 19 ended…
At the start of Big Brother 19 finale night, I made a prediction on my Facebook page.
Okay final predictions for Big Brother…
I’m going with Paul. He ran the house start to finish. Do I like him? No. But he played the game and he played it well.
I didn’t really see how either Christmas or Josh would be able to take Paul out.
But then all of a sudden, Josh was winning the final HOH competition.
I quickly started strategizing how Josh, the ultimate underdog, could win the game.
It was a no-brainer– Josh needed to evict Paul and take Christmas (his ride-or-die) to the finals.
Josh would be the only houseguest smart enough to FINALLY get rid of Paul.
I felt that the jury members would respect that huge game move and reward him with the $250,000.
And then Josh chose to evict Christmas.
That didn’t make sense to me. Although, I certainly don’t think Josh owed Christmas anything after she told him straight up that she wasn’t sure if she would take him or Paul to Final 2.
With his decision to bring Paul along to the finals, I thought Josh had kissed the win goodbye.
But somehow he managed to come up with the votes.
I was THRILLED.
Paul played the game but he almost played it too much, and resentment from the jurors cost him the victory.
Paul should have gotten voted out Week One for being a vet…but they let him stay.
Shame on them, but props to Paul for getting all the way to the finals.
As for people thinking Josh didn’t “deserve” a win, anyone who makes it that far (by any means) is deserving, in my book.
Josh must have been doing something right.
Regarding votes, the only ones I was surprised by were Christmas and Alex.
Really, Christmas? You voted for PAUL?
If I were Josh, I would be pissed at her.
Alex kept saying in jury that Paul was just “playing the game” by lying and backstabbing.
So I thought her vote would go to Paul. But she surprised me!
Some burning questions that remain after the season…
- What does Paul think about Raven claiming to be the true puppet master of the house?
- When will Cody and Jessica get engaged?
- Will Alex forgive Paul?
- Can we stop using the word “bullying” to describe adults getting into fights?
- Will CBS learn that no one likes vets entering the game?
- WHO ARE THE CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER CONTESTANTS???
