A huge spoiler announcement came out yesterday…

Yesterday was another weird episode for The Bachelor, with no Rose Ceremonies and a couple of slightly surprising exits.

PLUS, there was the huge announcement made by ABC about who the next Bachelorette will be. More on that if you keep reading.

{That is your spoiler alert.}

7 Things About The Bachelor Last Night

1. Vanessa has never been on a boat? That is…intriguing. Is it a Canadian thing?

2. Did anyone catch Corinne walking past the automatic door (that was open) to push open the door further away as she exited Nick’s hotel? I was giggling about that. This was after her failed attempt to seduce him in his hotel room. I must say I was a little surprised that he turned her down, considering the fact that he and Kaitlyn did exactly the same thing on Kaitlyn’s season. I guess he learned his lesson.

3. The look on Nick’s face when Danielle started to profess her feelings… I mean, if Danielle has any ability whatsoever to read people’s faces she would have stopped her speech. So I guess she does not have that ability. I felt those two had zero relationship, yet she was confident enough to tell him she was basically falling in love with him?

4. It’s not really fair for Kristina to say that Nick didn’t give her a fair chance. They barely had a connection or relationship. After watching the dates this week, it is OBVIOUS that his relationships with Vanessa, Corinne, and even Raven are leaps and bounds above the other ones. Nick took Kristina on a 1-on-1 last week and then paid the most attention to her on this week’s group date. I’d say he gave her a really fair chance!

5. Raven. Is Raven the underdog here, flying under the radar until the very end when she walks away with Nick’s ring? I like her more and more. Looking forward to her Hometown Date.

6.  Rachel is the new Bachelorette. It’s about time they had a Bachelorette who was any race other than white, but no need for the show to be patting itself on the back for this. It was their choice every single season to cast a white lead.

7. So…why did they spoil the show by announcing Rachel as the Bachelorette while she is still on Nick’s season? This is the question on everyone’s mind today after it was revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live that Rachel is the new Bachelorette. Clearly, Rachel is still vying for Nick’s heart on The Bachelor. But we now know that she doesn’t end up as the winner. So thanks for ruining that, ABC! I’m guessing the reason they broke the news is because it was getting spoiled by other news outlets and they wanted to announce it on their own terms. That’s the only sense I can make of it. Now we will be watching next week (and possibly other weeks after that) knowing that Rachel doesn’t end up with Nick.

Now the only ladies left are: Rachel, Vanessa, Corinne, and Raven. I assume they automatically get the four Hometown Dates.

Since we know that Rachel isn’t the winner, we have three shots at guessing who wins. I still say he has the best connection with Vanessa, with Raven being a close second.

There’s no way he picks Corinne…right?!

    […] Okay, now that we got that out-of-the-way, here are some quick thoughts on Monday’s episode. I hate to see Kristina leave, I really liked her and I felt like her and Nick had a connection. I also don’t get Raven she’s nice enough but I don’t see her and Nick working. I think Vanessa and Nick have great chemistry she kinda reminds me of Andi, the strong woman who can put him in his place if need be. Corrine doesn’t seem like she’s in it for the right reasons (yeah, I said it) I think she’s here for TV fame but I don’t think she’s here for love or Nick or marriage. I more so see her on Bachelor in Paradise. Check out The Naughty Mommy’s recap of the Bachelor. […]
