Ladies of London

If you’re a devoted Real Housewives fan like myself, you know it can sometimes be difficult to get on board with some of the other Bravo shows. Shows like Below Deck (sorry Chrissy, I know you like it!) and Married to Medicine and Southern Charm.

But sometimes you stumble across a true gem of a show that is, dare I say, just as good if not better than Real Housewives.

That is what I have found in Ladies of London. It’s funny, it’s sassy, and it’s a breath of fresh air.

Here are five reasons to love Ladies of London…

5. The accents. What’s better than a British accent? A British accent on a child. Even better is when that child has American parents and is only speaking with an accent due to growing up in London. It’s hilarious. Seriously, though, I could listen to these ladies all day. Even their insults sound elegant…like Lisa Vanderpump’s digs.

4. The city. London has never really topped my “Places to Go” list but all of a sudden it looks like the place to be. The Ladies of London have shown me a fabulous nightlife, amazing restaurants, plus there’s a humongous lit-up ferris wheel that appears in every nighttime shot. Booking my trip!

3. The tea. They make me want to drink tea all day long. I swear, since I started binge-watching this last week, I’ve been drinking tea every day. #elegant #refined #detoxteaforallthewine

2. The drama. I don’t know about you, but I’m getting sick of the same old Vicki/Tamra or even Teresa/Melissa/IRS drama. I like the idea of a fresh bunch of ladies. New blood, new drama. Did Caroline really hump Juliet’s husband while wearing a unicorn suit? That’s something that you’ll have to tune in to find out. Will Annabelle ever remove the stick from her ass? Stay tuned. It’s all happening here, folks.

1. The personalities. Caroline Stanbury is my hands-down favorite (along with her sister-in-law Sophie) because she’s hilarious, gorgeous, and sharp as a tack…but all the ladies have something to offer. Annabelle is a cold b**** who likes to trash-talk Caroline. Juliet is the annoying American always causing drama but swearing that she doesn’t want said drama. Julie is the eager-to-please American who is trying to save her British husband’s family estate by selling “Julie’s Unbelievable Balls” (JUBs). Marissa is yet another American who is opening a fancy hot dog restaurant. (Also, she taught me to wear a headband when I have my hair up in a bun so that it covers my roots.) And finally we have the other Caroline who is Swedish royalty, gorgeous, and a bit kooky.

It’s okay to admit that you want to watch the show now. (You can thank me later.)

It’s halfway through the second season (and the seasons are short) so you can easily catch up. Check out Season 1 of Ladies of London on Amazon Instant Video or look for it On Demand.

Ladies of London airs Tuesday nights at 10:00 P.M. on Bravo.
